Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD (CBG) has officially opened a new branch in Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region, introducing residents and the business community to a broad range of CBG’s financial products and services. The launch marks another strategic step in the Bank’s mission to expand its footprint and provide accessible banking services across Ghana.

Speaking at the official ceremony, the Managing Director of CBG, Mr. Daniel Addo, assured the people of Nkawkaw of the Bank’s unwavering commitment to offering responsible, safe, and convenient banking solutions to the Kwahu West Municipality. He emphasized CBG’s strong focus on the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector, describing Nkawkaw as an important SME hub.

Mr. Addo expressed enthusiasm about introducing CBG’s Collateral-Free lending products, which provide SMEs with easy access to credit facilities without the requirement of collateral—an intervention he believes will greatly support local businesses. He also hinted at plans to roll out innovative digital solutions designed to enhance the overall customer experience and make banking more convenient for all.

The Board Chairman of CBG, Nana Abra Appiah, noted that the opening of the Nkawkaw branch reaffirms the Bank’s pledge to improve access to banking services while supporting small businesses to drive economic growth. He highlighted CBG’s commitment to strengthening financial inclusion and serving as a trusted partner in economic development.

The Chief of Kwahu Atibie, Nana Asante Kwame Betieni, encouraged the staff of the Bank to uphold professionalism, dedication, and excellent customer service to foster strong relationships with customers and build a positive image for the institution.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu West, Mr. Yaw Addo, applauded CBG for choosing Nkawkaw as a key location and reiterated the importance of supporting the business community, urging the Bank to deepen its engagement with SMEs in the Municipality.

The event was attended by several senior executives of the Bank, including the Deputy Managing Director of Operations, Mr. Thairu Ndungu; the Director of Retail and Business Banking, Mr. Emmanuel Nikoi; the Director of Operations, Mr. Samuel Barkeitey; the General Manager of Distribution, Governance and Branch Experience, Mr. Edward Antwi; the General Manager of Business Banking, Mr. Michael Kwansah; and the General Manager of Consumer Banking, Mr. Joseph Okyere Opoku.
