Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD (CBG) has reinforced its commitment to expanding financial inclusion by opening a new branch in the Berekum East Municipality. This expansion forms part of the Bank’s strategy to bring convenient and accessible banking services closer to individuals and businesses across Ghana.

Speaking at the official opening ceremony, the Deputy Managing Director, Operations, Mr. Thairu Ndungu, reaffirmed CBG’s dedication to offering superior banking solutions tailored to the needs of customers and communities. He noted that CBG remains committed to providing flexible financial products for individuals, businesses, children, and students, ranging from investments and loans to savings, advisory services, and insurance.

Mr. Ndungu emphasized the Bank’s focus on SME development, highlighting the Collateral-Free Loan initiative, which allows eligible SME customers to access up to GHS 500,000 without collateral. He assured the business community of enhanced convenience, strong partnerships, and continued support, stating that banking is fundamentally about relationships and contributing to the well-being of the community. He also encouraged residents to take advantage of CBG’s simplified and highly reliable remittance services.

The Berekum Traditional Council, represented by Osabarima Kusi Yeboah II, commended CBG for establishing a branch in the Municipality. He encouraged the Bank to maintain the highest professional standards and protect customer confidentiality at all times.

The launch event was attended by notable figures in the Berekum community, including traditional leaders, members of the clergy, education authorities, and security officials. Senior executives from CBG were also present, including Mr. Charles Appiah (Director of Finance and Strategy), Mr. Emmanuel Nikoi (Director of Retail and Business Banking), Mr. Edward Antwi (General Manager for Distribution, Governance, and Branch Experience), Mr. Joseph Opoku Okyere (General Manager of Consumer Banking), and Mr. Michael Kwansah (General Manager of Business Banking).
