    John Alexander Ackon is a seasoned mechanical engineer and public servant with over three decades of experience spanning engineering practice, local governance, and ministerial leadership. His career reflects a strong blend of technical expertise, public administration, and strategic leadership.

    He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business. John has served in several high-level government roles, including Regional Minister for Ashanti and Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, where he contributed to policy direction and social development initiatives.

    Prior to his public service career, he held key engineering and management positions at Ashanti Goldfields / AngloGold Ashanti Company Ltd and Achimota Brewery, rising through technical and managerial ranks and demonstrating strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

    John’s professional influence extends beyond national boundaries, having participated in and spoken at international platforms, including events organized by the United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU). He is a Fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration and a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers.

    Beyond his professional career, John is deeply engaged in community and church leadership, with a strong passion for youth empowerment, education, and social development.
